March 6, 2008 - Best Friends Boxer Rescue would like to introduce Sadie. Best Friends is trying out a new concept to help insure a safe adoption for Sadie. Our fosterhomes are currently full and Sadie needs a new home of her own, so she will remain in her current home until she is adopted or space opens up for her to come into rescue. Sadie was adopted by her current owners about 3 months ago from a questionable rescue in Pennsylvania. Her people have a male boxer and thought a friend would be a nice addition but Sadie has proven to be a handful. Both adults work and there will be a new baby in the fall. The yard is not fenced and Sadie has energy to burn and needs someone that will give her guidance, boundaries and leadership. If you would be interested in adopting Sadie, please fill out the adoption application found on the website. Sadie will need a home with a fence and secure doors, as she tries to bolt if the opportunity arises. Our director met Sadie, she is a typical boxer, full of herself but a true love bug!
March 13, 2008 -Sadie continues to wait for her perfect forever home. She is in move in shape and her bags are packed, just waiting for oh, say, could it be you? It wasn't my intention to scare anyone off on Sadie, she is not a houdini, she just needs to burn off the extra energy inside a fenced in secure yard! She is crated during the day while the humans are at work and she needs maybe a running partner? Her adoption through our trial program mentioned above affords Sadie and you all the same benefits as if she was in a foster home. Her adoption will be handled through our director. Her owners have relinquished all ownership to Sadie, please email Linda or Jackie on the "contact us" link if you have any questions about Sadie or the program.
March 24, 2008 - Sadie has made her way to her foster home and we are delighted to have her.Sadie would like to thank her previous owners who met us with her yesterday. They took very good care of Sadie even giving her a bath before
bringing her to meet us. They are going through some big life changes and thought it would be best for Sadie to see if a new family had more time to spend with her. She has been a sweetheart from the minute we met her. She was great in the car ride home, taking a few naps along the way. She has met all her foster brothers and sisters and that is going well. She didn't want to eat last night but we offered it to her a couple times during the evening and she finally decided it was okay to eat. This mornings breakfast was gone before we knew it. She loves to be outside and seems to be enjoying the fenced in yard. I think she has a touch of spring fever. She was very cooperative when it was time for bed. She never made a peep and got up early but did go back to sleep after going outside for a bathroom trip.I just cannot say enough good about this girl. I think she is going to do
well in foster care until her forever home can be found. She is going to make some family very lucky to have her. Check back to see her progress and to see if she might be the girl for you.
