Newman/

September 26, 2008 Best Friends Boxer Rescue would like to welcome Newman. Newman is the new guest at the Boxer'In. He was a stray to a shelter and they thought that he was just a great guy. I have to agree. He has been perfect. He is very cute with natural ears and white on his chest and paws. Newman has a tail that shows how happy he truly is to be in a foster home waiting for his new forever family. He would like to thank one of our very special transporters who helped him get into rescue. Newman is adjusting really nice at his foster home, never missing a meal and just goes with the flow of things. He is mature enough to be just a loving guy. No accidents, does well when we are at work either free in the house or crated. He gets along with all the other boxers here and is happy to accept his position in the pack. Newman has had some basic training and walks like a gentleman on his leash. He is eating twice daily some kibbled mixed with a little warm water. He is super gentle at taking treats. He is neutered and there has been no marking. That's almost a first at the Boxer'In. Newman is so easy and I know that he will find his new forever family soon. I believe that Newman could go into any home and become a cherished part of any family. He can often be found laying around on a dog bed. Last weekend we had to babysit our son's two boxers and Newman came in on Saturday and he just did awesome. I just can't say enough good about this guy. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is very patiently waiting for someone to fall in love with him. He will make a great companion.

October 27,2008 - Newman continues to be the perfect guest at the Boxer'In. He now will go in his crate on work days with no hesitation. He has learned that frozen peanut butter filled marrow bones are a real treat. He is just great in the house with no accidents ever. He loves attention and gets along with all the dogs. He shows a little bit of jealousy when you show another dog attention and will try and get to the center of attention but we don't let that happen and he is good about it. We had lots of sunshine today and he found a great area of sunshine outside on the grass and took a nice little nap. Newman spend last weekend at his foster home with a babysitter who stayed at the house and they also had nothing but good to say about him. He loves his food and eats with no agression or problems. Newman is so well behaved and always takes treats very gently. He loves to be with his people and if you want a new best friend, Newman might be the man. He is waiting patiently. We have some new pictures of him and we will get them up on the site. Newman will make a great companion. He just can't wait to meet you.
