Loki

March 14, 2009 - Loki checked into the Boxer'In on the lake late yesterday afternoon. He is a really cute fawn boy with white makings, natural ears and a docked tail. He would like to thank his friends in Ohio and his transporters who helped him get to his foster home. He will forever be grateful for their kindness. He will make a trip to the vets this week to be brought up to date on his vaccinations and get scheduled to be neutered. So far, I can only tell you that he is very sweet. He already is with his foster brothers and sisters and likes to be near them. He is adjusting to life at his foser home and doing beautifuly with it. He ate his breakfast this morning and will need to put on a few pounds during his stay. I will get some pictures today so that you can see how cute he really is. He has lots of wiggles and kisses to give. This boy certainly deserves a chance at a new beginning and a new family for him.

March 24, 2009 - Loki has been the perfect guest so far. He is completely housebroken and loves just hanging out with his friends. For being such a young dog, he is such a good boy. He now goes in his crate during the work day with just showing him that he is going to get his frozen peanut butter bone. He might cry and bark for a short period but settles down real quick. He went to the vet yesterday and was brought up to date on his vaccinations, and is heartworm negative. He returned to the vet this morning to be neutered. I'm sure he will be glad to get back to his foster home later today or tomorrow. Everyone thought he was really cute at the vets and made a big deal about him. They said he is just a fun boy. Loki is eating twice daily some kibbled food mixed with a little water. He knows a few commands and is happy to show you what he knows for a treat. He likes to snuggle and gives lots of kisses but also can play up a storm if you want to play rough. Loki weighs 52 pounds and can stand to gain a few pounds to fill him out a little. He is super sweet and gentle at taking treats. When you come home from being out, he is so excited to see you and he goes wild for a few minutes once you let him out of the crate. He is just so happy that we are home. We think that Loki will make a great addition to any family. He will benefit from obedience as you both bond together and he becomes part of your family. He is very willing to work to please you so I think with some training, he will just be an awesome best friend.
