November 18 2010 - Go ahead, you can say it, everyone does. I am a tootsie roll, a "hot" dog, a Jimmy Dean sausage. Foster mom hasn't had much practice feeding little dogs and therefore, I am a bit on the plump side! She's used to feeding 60lb dogs and everytime she put my kibble in the bowl, she said it didn't look like enough. I didn't mind, I ate every drop. So here's my story. I belong to the foster mom's niece. I lived in Florida for the first 4yrs and I was a latch key dog. When the sun come up, I went out and when the sun went down, I came in. I was left to my own devices during the day and sure got into my share of trouble. I survived being bitten by a snake and I carry a very long scar on my back hind quarter, that is where I was stitched up after winding up in a trap. My teenage mom made her way to NY to start a new life with her dad, I came along, but ended up bunking at this Best Friends Boxer place. Try as they might, her dad is still not able to find a place for them to live that will allow dogs and since she has gone back to school and he works and I can't stay here, I am looking for a home to call my very own and a human that will love to be loved by me! I have been spayed, I am heartworm negative, up to date on my shots and microchipped. The chip hasn't yet been registered, my new home will do that when I get one. This place has two resident boxers, a male and a female, I like them, especially nipping at the backs of their legs when I'm real happy. There are also alot of small humans that come over alot, I have never ever been mean to them, but this foster mom thinks it would be best if I was in a home where there were no little people as they make me nervous. I eat twice a day and right along side the big dogs. I like to go outside, I run so fast, but I can never seem to keep up with the other dogs. Foster mom says I'm not like the Jack Russells she has heard about. She says I am a laid back kinda girl, not hyper at all. Actually, when she gets up in the morning, I'm just about ready to roll over for another 40 winks. Foster mom also thinks it's easier on her lap that I only weigh 20lbs, when she gets in her chair at the end of the night, I like to sit with her and be petted. I have free roam of the house, I do not have any accidents, I'm not crated at all, but will go in one if I have to. If you think I would make a nice addition to your house, then please fill out the application! I would love to be in my very own home as soon as I can!

December 18 2010 - All I want for Christmas is my own family, my own family, my own family!! Ok, I can't sing too well, but you know what I'm sayin! These boxers that live here are nice and all, but I don't really want to share the humans. I would be the perfect companion for someone that isn't gone all the time and just wants someone to hang out with them and maybe we could watch The Price Is Right and some soap operas. I really don't care, I just want to be close enough to snuggle. I've been put on a diet, but so far, it's not working. Foster mom says if she feeds me any less, she wouldn't know how I would survive. She says I waddle, whatevvvvver! So how about me, can I come home with you?
