by the IRS as a tax exempt not for profit group. All donations are now tax deductable.

for our Boxers!
Our mission is to provide a safe, temporary refuge for unwanted or abandoned Boxers in New York,
Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio. We address our dogs' basic needs and reduce the number of unwanted
dogs entering the animal welfare system (shelters, animal control, humane societies) by spaying and neutering
every animal in our care and emphasizing to the public the importance of spaying and neutering all companion
animals. We actively seek permanent, caring, approved homes for all of our dogs.
Please note, if you have filled out an application and you are hoping for a certain dog, we DO NOT place our Boxers on a first come first
serve basis. We encourage you to go through the adoption process so when the right dog comes along, you are ready! All dogs shown on the
"Available Dogs" page are up for adoption unless otherwise stated.
Monetary donations are gratefully accepted to help with our expenses.

Lucy Says...WHAT RESCUE IS AND WHAT RESCUE IS NOT
Lucy was a member of our fur family for almost 9 years. She was a cranky boxer, but she was full of wisdom!
Each month, we will run a feature article that we hope will provide some useful tips and information.

Fleece dog pads available
Our wonderful volunteer Gail P HAND made some fleece blankets for
our doggy friends. Donating her time and material. I am selling them, and every cent goes to help "Best Friends Boxer
Rescue". These blankies make a wonderful gift to our furryfamily members. I know, I have 21 of them!!!
These blankets are fleece on top and bottom and batting in-between. If you are interested please e mail me at

right now, and money is tight, that's why we need your help even more. Every day dogs come into rescue, emaciated,
sick or even sometimes healthy, found on the streets, tied up to a porch abandon by thier once loving family, but they ALL have
one thing in common............... and that is They need a permanent loving home. These funds help tremendously in finding that
forever home . The funds go to spaying/neutering, any shots they may need, food and any other health care. ANY donation is appreciated
and more helpful than you may realize. But with this donation you get a great warm and comfy blankie in return.
